What Does "Aerial Included" Actually Mean?

Aerial included means drone images ship with the package — no separate fee, no second visit. What that covers, in plain terms.

"Aerial included" means the drone images ship with the rest of the shoot: photographed on the same visit, delivered in the same gallery, with no separate fee, no second appointment, and no second quote round. It is a package structure, not a promotion.

What it never means is a guarantee to fly. Airspace and weather decide that, and they decide it by address.

What does "aerial included" cover?

When aerial is part of the package, you get:

  • Aerial images of the home and its immediate surroundings — how the lot sits, the roof and the yard from above, the water, golf frontage or acreage if there is any.
  • Captured on the same visit as the interior and exterior work. One appointment, one lockbox window, one ask of the seller.
  • Delivered in the same gallery as the rest of the photos, named and ordered with them.
  • No separate aerial line item. Nothing to approve, nothing to remove, nothing to explain to the seller on the invoice.

That is the entire definition. It is deliberately boring, because the value of it is that there is nothing to negotiate.

Why does one quote have a drone line and another does not?

Because they are two different business structures, and the number on the front of each quote is not measuring the same object.

Aerial as an add-on usually means one of three things:

  1. A separate fee on top of the base package.
  2. A separate visit, sometimes on a separate day, because the drone operator is not the photographer.
  3. A subcontracted pilot, which adds a scheduling dependency you do not control and a second party at the property.

None of that is wrong. Plenty of good work is delivered that way. The problem is comparison: a base quote without aerial is cheaper than a base quote with aerial, and it stays cheaper right up until you need the aerial.

Aerial as part of the package means the comparison happens once, before you book, and the deliverable does not move afterward.

What does "aerial included" never include?

Airspace. We put it in writing because in Central Florida the address decides whether the drone goes up.

Controlled airspace requires authorization before the flight. According to the FAA, drone pilots operating in controlled airspace must hold an airspace authorization before they fly, obtained through FAA DroneZone or the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) system (faa.gov, updated August 25, 2026; accessed September 2026). MCO, SFB, ORL and ISM each have controlled airspace; the address decides.

Some airspace is restricted outright. Walt Disney World is covered by a standing federal flight restriction published by the FAA as FDC NOTAM 4/3634 (tfr.faa.gov, permanent; accessed September 2026). Separately, the FAA states that temporary flight restrictions, communicated through NOTAMs, keep aircraft, including drones, out of an area for a limited time (faa.gov, updated March 10, 2025; accessed September 2026). That layer changes with the date, not only with the address.

In practice, in the Kissimmee, Davenport, Champions Gate and Four Corners corridor:

  • Some addresses can be flown once authorization is granted.
  • Some addresses cannot be flown at all.
  • Authorization can be denied, and a denial is not appealable on the morning of a shoot.
  • Wind and rain remove the aerial from an otherwise clear day.

Aerial is included in the package.

How do you compare two photography quotes fairly?

Five questions. They take one email and they surface the whole difference:

  1. Is aerial a line item or part of the package?
  2. Same visit, or a second appointment? A second appointment is a second ask of the seller.
  3. Who checks the airspace for this address, and when? The answer you want: the operator, before the shoot — and you hear the result before the shoot too.
  4. What happens if the address cannot be flown? Ask what gets delivered and what gets billed.
  5. Does the base number move after the shoot? A rate fixed by the size of the property behaves differently from one that shifts with photo count, delivered file count, or add-ons chosen after the fact.

Ask the same five of both providers and the quotes stop being comparable numbers and start being comparable offers.

Why does SunHaus include aerial in every package?

Because of how the operation is built. One operator, one visit, one flat number set by the size of the property. The drone is already on site — it did not require a second person, a second calendar, or a second trip. Charging separately for something that costs nothing extra to bring creates a decision the agent does not need to make.

The structure, stated plainly: flat rate by property size — bedrooms and square footage together, whichever of the two puts the house in the larger package — with any travel fee priced into the rate. Aerial included in every package. No add-on fees on top.

FAQ

Is aerial photography really included in every package, with no fee?

Yes — aerial is part of every package, not an add-on, and there is no separate aerial fee or second quote round. The one condition is the one nobody controls: the address has to be flyable under FAA airspace rules, and the weather has to cooperate.

What happens if my listing is in restricted airspace?

You are told before the shoot, not after. The flight is cleared before the shoot, or you hear that it cannot happen. The ground-level interior and exterior work is delivered as planned, and there is no aerial line to remove from the invoice, because there never was one.

Does every listing need aerial images?

No. Aerial earns its place when the lot, the land, or the property's position is part of what is being sold — waterfront, acreage, golf frontage, corner lots, oversized parcels, or a home whose layout only makes sense from above. On a middle-of-row townhouse it usually adds one photo and no information. Included does not mean mandatory.
